Jaqueline's Bio & Workshop Objectives:
Defence Mechanisms - How do we understand them and plan care for clinical practice? For anyone who ever wondered why clients demonstrate defense mechanisms and what can we, as nurses, do to support clients, this session is for you.
This interactive webinar will highlight common clinical presentations of defence mechanisms - how we as nurses identify them and plan care.
Participants will be provided an opportunity to:

Increase knowledge of defence mechanisms and possible rationale why clients present with them.

Develop and enhance clinical skills to create a plan of care to support effective therapeutic relationships.

Engage in a safe and generative environment to develop clinical practice in mental health nursing
The session will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Zoom Link to follow.
Group participation in case study scenarios is expected.
There will be Knowledge check ins during the session and a quiz completion at the end of the session to provide feedback.
Completion of webinar certificate sent to participants post completion.
Except for personal or self-care related workshops, all workshops will be recorded.
